I love looking at other people's blogs and feel cheated if I cant log on every day to have a look at my favourites. Not so long ago I found a lovely card which was like a book. There are alot of tutorials to choose from out there so I chose one which was the right size and off I went. I teamed the book card with images from the DM magazine featuring the regency images- very Jane Austen. Finished it off with a little book mark and gave it to my friend Janet for her birthday.
WELCOME: Just a bit of nonsense really from a paper crafter and quilter who loves to dabble in all sorts of crafts. It will give me a way of remembering my craft projects - and sharing them with others

DECOUPAGE FOR TOBIAS
Its been a quiet time in my card making calendar so I have been experimenting and playing with the CB- and buying more supplies of course. Yesterday was a work colleague's birthday and as he is a Disney fan I couldnt resist doing him a Toy Story card. I decided to use the easel card style and decoupage a Toy Story picture (breaking every copyright rule I bet). I also downloaded a free Disney font for the sentiment plate. Had fun doing the decoupage- much more creative than diecut decoupage.

HA PEA BIRTHDAY
A card for Steven who is currently helping Captain Birdseye with this year's pea crop. Cards for young men are always difficult so I usually try and make them humorous.

ANOTHER REGENCY INSPIRED CARD
Really like Debbi Moore's Regency CD and made another card using it for my friend Marilyn. I used pinky-purple tones and downloaded some nice handwriting fonts for the inside. Starting to get the hang of my Cuttlebug and now need some more Nestabilities. Finished it off with a Jane Austen quote which I knew would make Marilyn smile. 'A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of'.
Once again I took the photo in a rush and its not wonderful. I've been promising myself a light tent but maybe now is the time to do it.

I never cease to be amazed what is out there on the web. Came across a site called Pinterest today and just had to share. This is what the site says about itself:
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. Peope use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
If you want some inspiration take a peak at some of the pinboards on there- on every topic. http://pinterest.com/about/
Cant wait to make one myself.

THE CULT OF BEAUTY
I know that I am lucky to live close enough to central London to take advantage of the culture without being in the city itself. We took the opportunity to go to the V&A today on a rare occasion that there are no Metropolitan or Piccadilly Line closures on a Saturday. They have one of their special exhibitions on at the moment and it covers the Aesthetic Movement from the period 1860 to 1900. Loved the William Morris colours and the Rossetti pictures. Hope it will encourage my Creative Mojo to come out to play.

LAP QUILT FOR MIKE
Last Saturday was a manic day- I had it in my mind to finish the quilt I had started for Mike before we went out to his 60th birthday party at 4pm, Needless to say I didnt get it done and ended up having to get up early on Sunday to finish it and drop it round to him the next day. The green and cream blocks were made for a quilt-as-you-go bow tie project and I added it them further blocks made from wine patterned materials I had sent over from Keepsake Quilting in the USA. Not entirely happy with the finished result. I should have used the same colour for the border as the backing fleece. I realised after I had delivered it that it could have done with some large stitch quilting in the cream squares.
This is one time when last-minute Linda didnt pull it out of the bag but having a deadline made me get on with the project.
