London bus for Marilyn

Yesterday was my friend Marilyn's birthday.  It just had to be a Jubilee/British card as she recently had a holiday in London (she is from Pennsylvania USA) and had a great time.  (She very kindly brought be a goodie bag from Michaels!)

Used a London bus Penny Black image which I coloured with Promarkers. I enjoyed the colouring in more than I usually do as the shading didn't have to be so precise. Realise now that Tilda images were not good as my first introduction to alcohol pens.  The background is a Papermania Portabello Road paper.

ANOTHER REGENCY INSPIRED CARD

Really like Debbi Moore's Regency CD and made another card using it for my friend Marilyn.  I used pinky-purple tones and downloaded some nice handwriting fonts for the inside. Starting to get the hang of my Cuttlebug and now need some more Nestabilities.  Finished it off with a Jane Austen quote which I knew would make Marilyn smile.  'A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of'.

Once again I took the photo in a rush and its not wonderful.  I've been promising myself a light tent but maybe now is the time to do it.

LATE AGAIN

I made a card for my friend Marilyn in the US weeks ago.  I really enjoyed making it - when I picture her it is wearing pink so the card just had to be pink.  My first try at an easel card.  Well I made it in plenty of time but didnt get it posted until yesterday so it's probably not going to arrive in time (sorry Marilyn).

More soon
