STEVEN'S BIRTHDAY

It's always difficult to make a card for a young man. Over the years I have done sporty and music ones for my two lovely nephews. This summer Steven is working at alot of different Festivals including Glastonbury hence the music card for his birthday tomorrow.

MAGNOLIA CHALLENGE

It is with some trepidation that I post this card - it is the first one I have made specially to enter into a challenge. I have been looking at the cards other people make for weeks and at last I have got the hang of the Promarkers and feel I can enter this.

Update - sent this to Eli for her birthday in September.

LATE AGAIN

I made a card for my friend Marilyn in the US weeks ago.  I really enjoyed making it - when I picture her it is wearing pink so the card just had to be pink.  My first try at an easel card.  Well I made it in plenty of time but didnt get it posted until yesterday so it's probably not going to arrive in time (sorry Marilyn).

CARDS FOR MY MUM

Just come back from a lovely weekend in Yorkshire visiting my Mum.  When I showed her the blogsite she asked me if I wanted to photograph some of the cards I had sent her over the years. I was really touched when she produced a large shoe box where she had kept all my cards.  Here are a few using different techniques:

My favourite is this one which I made for her 80th birthday shortly after I had been to Venice.

ANOTHER TILDA

Enjoyed doing this card whilst the Europa Cup was on TV - poor Fulham.  Made it for Avneet who has been doing some work experience in the department this week.

Not happy about the colours in the photo. Note to self only do photos in daylight.

More soon.

AT LAST

I am really happy as I made a Tilda card that I am happy with. I realise it was the stark white background that I didn't like before so I used Glimmer Mists watered down to make a wash for the background and then did some simple colouring. Here she is!

This is for my friend Maz- she is a very talented crafter so I know a hand-crafted card will be appreciated.

I even tidied up afterwards!!

ANOTHER MAGNOLIA DISASTER

I could colour in better when I was 5 than I can now. Armed with a Tilda image, my new Promarkers and an hour to spare I tried again and was again disappointed.  I'm determined to persevere though so I will be trying again tomorrow in daylight.  Cant wait to do the flower part and if I dont like the coloured image I will settle for something from my many CDs like I did before. It was election night list night and I was wandering around in the early morning hours.  Couldnt help myself logging on and buying some images on eBay. Madness.

Made a nice card for my colleague Raakhi using a Create and Craft oriental decoupage die cuts- was last minute as usual and forgot to photograph it. Doh!

Done a mega tidy up of my craft stuff and used the new boxes I bought at Hobbycraft at the weekend. Found allsorts that I had forgotten about and cant wait to make something. The creative juices are flowing so I expect to be posting something soon.
