JANUARY AND LOTS OF BIRTHDAYS

Busy time of year for card making. Here are 2 I managed to get there on time. This one was a request. I made a champagne bottle card for a 50th birthday for Andy's Mum and she asked for a Malibu bottle on a card for her Mum's 70th birthday. Here is what I came up with.

For my Mum I did one of my favourite cards of the moment- one with a vintage photo and flowers. Very pretty pretty.  The photo is from a lovely site Magic Moonlight and the rubber stamp is a Lili of the Valley one I got in their pre-Christmas sale. The stamp is just the right size for several dies I have so it will be much used this year.

Also playing catch up with some cards I made for December birthdays. Both were for 50ths.

VENETIAN SPLENDOUR

Sunday was my Mum's 83rd birthday. She is my crafting mentor and inspiration....she still creates the most beautiful items and sells her work locally. She loves Venetian masks and has a lovely collection in her home.  I bought the Debbi Moore CD just so that I could make her a card for her birthday with it.  I have also sent her the new Debbi Moore magazine so she can use the Venetian papers in it.  Here is my card.  Liked the triple fold and will be using this idea again.

It was also my Mum's closest friend's birthday on Sunday. Here is the Tilda card I did for Pam.  I decided not to add flowers because it was going in the post.

CARDS FOR MY MUM

Just come back from a lovely weekend in Yorkshire visiting my Mum.  When I showed her the blogsite she asked me if I wanted to photograph some of the cards I had sent her over the years. I was really touched when she produced a large shoe box where she had kept all my cards.  Here are a few using different techniques:

My favourite is this one which I made for her 80th birthday shortly after I had been to Venice.
