WELCOME: Just a bit of nonsense really from a paper crafter and quilter who loves to dabble in all sorts of crafts. It will give me a way of remembering my craft projects - and sharing them with others

Vintage card with a bit extra
Really enjoyed making this card for my friend Karen to celebrate her 50th. It took me alot longer than I anticipated though and my work area took nearly an hour to clear up afterwards as I used so many tools, techniques and different adhesives. The vintage image is one downloaded from the Magic Moonlight site and the cake easel card design came from this great tutorial here. About a year ago these cake cards seemed to be everywhere around blogland but I didnt get the chance to make one. As I wanted to do something special for Karen this was my opportunity.

THANK GOODNESS FOR UPS
I can make the cards in plenty of time but getting them in the post to ensure they get there for the day always lets me down especially for cards which need to be sent abroad. This week I failed miserably with two US cards and had to resort to letting the cards hitch a ride in a company courier pack going by UPS.
First there is a card for my penfriend of more than 45 years in Pennsylvania USA. I was inspired by a card made by one of my favourite bloggers, Bev Rochester, so copied the layout and used some images from my favourite fallback Cds from Debbi Moore. Just love the Art Deco ladies.

For my friend Barbara in company HQ I made a quick card using an LOTV image.

TWO MORE TILDA CARDS
Still enjoying making the Tilda cards and am spending far too long on them. First of all here is one I made for my friend Barbara in our US HQs. She's been having a rough time recently and hope she had a great birthday - her first one since her boys have been away at College.
The next Tilda card was for my penfriend of over 45 years (hard to believe we started writing when I was 9 years old). Thought this 12x12 scapbook paper made a good base card for the image. Needless to say both cards are photographed badly as the colours are not very true and probably neither of them got to their destinations on time! My bad......
