WELCOME: Just a bit of nonsense really from a paper crafter and quilter who loves to dabble in all sorts of crafts. It will give me a way of remembering my craft projects - and sharing them with others

FOURTH CARD OF THE WEEK

Three birthdays and a leaving card in one week.  I'm all crafted out!

A member of my team is leaving tomorrow for pastures new. It is by no means a celebration as I am going to miss Binali greatly but I wanted to make him a parting gift to remind him of his time in the department.

Time for a rest

IT'S A BUSY TIME OF YEAR

I got all excited when I discovered Magnolia stamps and loved the way the designers were decorating the cards with paper flowers. I immediately  rushed around ordering bits and pieces from the web and started on my first card. Needless to say I wasn't happy with my first effort as the colouring in of the Tilda image wasn't right. I have since ordered some Promarkers for my second attempt.

I couldn't bear to throw away the basic part of the card so I used an image from a Joanna Sheen CD and finished it off with some FlowerSoft.  Here is the finished card which I gave to my good friend and line dancing buddy, Carole.

A FUN CARD FOR OUR FRIEND MIKE

Like to do a fun card for our men friends. This is what I came up with for Mike this year.

Had fun downloading the pictures but it took an age to get the words right!

A CARD FOR MY LITTLE SIS

Enough of the blogging about blogging. This is a craft blog. Here is the card which I made for my sister Gina for her birthday which was today. Cheat's decoupage works well.

BLOG CANDY

As mentioned in my first post I am a blogging novice but I think I may have got to grips with entering myself for the blog candy that some wonderfully talented crafters are offering.  Fingers crossed.

TIME TO TAKE THE PLUNGE

I have had the site prepared for weeks but haven't so far taken the plunge and posted. I have become an avid reader of other people's crafty blogs and at lunchtime I happily blog hop whilst munching on my sandwich at work. I really must find out how to link to other people's blogs so I can take advantage of all the blog candy out there. Yes there really is blog candy....

As this is my first posting I want to include a photo of a recent project. I am a card maker and papercrafter who dabbles in quilting. As I work full-time there are not enough hours in the day to do what I want - so I fit a bit in here and there - usually failing miserably to make my own deadline so everyone gets birthday cards late. This one was on time as it was for my son's 22nd birthday and no posting was involved. Love making really personal cards- this one was to celebrate his love of stand up comedy!

As well as getting blog savvy I want to learn how to take good photos of my work. I love photography as well as my other interests and I am sure my current camera has more to offer than just the automatic setting I use (wonder where the instruction book is?).
