LOTV CUTE SQUARES

When I need to do a quick card I can always rely on LOTV cute squares to provide the inspiration. Made this card for my sister and brother-in-law for their 2nd anniversary using a colour combo I dont usually go for.

March birthdays coming thick and fast

Another birthday today. My good friend Mark is just 8 days older than me so when it gets to his birthday I know I will soon be celebrating.  Used a piece of foundation pieced patchwork using a Sally Holman design for the card.  A real mixture of paper and thread.

100th post

The card I made for daughter Kat's birthday didnt quite turn out as expected but I still like it. I used punches and die cuts for the matting and layering and the rose is my first attempt with my new Spellbinders Donna Salazar rose set.  Think I need to go on Youtube again and watch the tutorial more carefully. The butterflies were from the K&Co goodies which friend Marilyn brought from the USA.  Kat described the card as a 'definite keeper'- job done!

MOTHER'S DAY

It doesnt seem long since I was posting last year's Mothers Day cards. I know I am lucky to have a Mum and Mum-in-law to make cards for as so many of my friends have lost their Mums.  This year I used a lovely hydrangea image which I downloaded and then used the Cuttlebug (or Clutterbug as my Mum calls it) to cut some shapes. Happy with the results.

More Union Jacks

Really enjoyed using the Papermania papers and embellishments to make my son's card and used them again to make a card for my good friend Carol. She is a staunch royalist and I knew she would love the colours etc.

UNION JACKS EVERYWHERE

The first card I posted, I think, was a birthday card for son Jon two years ago. Time flies and my baby was 24 yesterday.  Always try and do him a topical card so this year it just had to be Union Jacks- they are everywhere.  I used some Papermania Portabello Road papers and ribbons and am looking forward to doing more.

Valentine's Day

I did actually make LSH (Long Suffering Husband) a card for Valentine's Day but I didnt photo it. 14th February is also my Auntie's birthday and for that I used a Muchas image from a calendar I was given and some of the lovely K&Co papers which Marilyn bought me.
